Romantic Interests: I want to help my father until he
retires from his work—he is a brilliant inventor. However, I am not opposed
to getting settled down. Before that special time happens for me, I just would love to
live some adventure in my life. To travel, and be in and of the world, and not just read about it in books.
I hope I might someday meet a man away from this provincial life... Someone kind and intelligent, as curious and interested in ideas as I am. There must be a man like this somewhere for me.
Talents/Traits: I am gentle and a loving person, and I have only a few close friends. I have been told that I am a patient listener. I am different from those breathless types of girls who giggle all the time. I am not interested in becoming a obedient little housewife, tending only to a home right now.
Sometimes, if I can get in the spirit for it, I enjoy singing. I haven't really been able to test my talents to any limits yet, since I cannot leave my village very often.
Most Embarrassing Moment: I know the perfect story! A man in my village named Gaston is
just about the most pig-headed person you will ever meet. (If Gaston had to describe his "talents,"
he would not run out of things to say about himself and his looks!)
Monsiour Gaston tries very hard to impress and charm the village girls
(and most of the young ones swoon all over him). I know better to steer clear of him.
One morning, I was at the bookshop browsing wonderful new
books that had just come in. Gaston saw me and marched into the shop.
He exclaimed that just watching me in a library with "all those mind-rotting books" made his head hurt!
Some townspeople stopped inside to watch us. Blushing angrily, I informed Gaston that my reading will make me a well-rounded person. At that, Gaston stated (loudly) that I did not need to gain weight and become "rounded."
*sigh* I just cannot understand how a man like THAT can be so admired by all. He doesn't understand me at all.
My Best Features: I have large eyes and auburn hair that I usually wear up.
Idea of a Romantic Date: We could have a nice dinner and talk, and then just spend time together, perhaps near a warm fireplace, and read stories out loud.
